Integrity

Everyone around me cheats during exams, is it okay to cheat?

Cheating during an exam is being dishonest. A person of integrity is always honest in everything they do.
When faced with the temptation to cheat, be wise to consider those who have suffered through compromising this way. Have you thought about the consequences of what will happen to you if you are caught? (Num.32:23)
God has told us in Eph. 5:10, 11 -13– “Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them,” (NLT)
After cheating with others can you be an effective witness for our Lord Jesus Christ to them? See Matt.5:16; Phil.2: 15;
You may get away at first like others but eventually it will catch up with you.
When you cheat, you have made a decision to abandon God’s laws and principles. This will leave you morally and spiritually bankrupt. This kind of compromise gives way to dangerous independence from God. You have decided to trust in your own efforts, Proverbs3:5, 6 says “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. “
Compromising this way is usually subtle at first, but each step of the way the process becomes easier, not more difficult as we might assume.(1Tim.4:2b) As long as we live in a fallen world, there will always be temptations. But if you want to be a person of integrity you must make up your mind not to give in to cheating in any way. Compromising by cheating is costly; it corrupts and opens “doors” in to your life for the enemy to afflict you.
God hates dishonesty in any form; bribing someone else to take an examination for you, copying from somebody else or from a book during an examination, bribing any one for good grades, having somebody do your research paper for you, plagiarism etc (Proverbs 11:1)
Honesty is always the best policy if you want to please God and live a victorious Christian life. Psalm75:6, 7 says ‘For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”(Psalm75:6, 7)
Promotion comes from God, trust Him because He is faithful and He will promote you at the right time as a reward for your integrity.
